The retail and e-commerce industries in the Philippines are expanding rapidly, driven by rising incomes, urbanization, and widespread digital adoption. The retail market is projected to grow at around 7–8% CAGR through 2030, while e-commerce is expected to surge by over 13% annually. Growing smartphone use, digital payments, and shifting consumer preferences toward online and mobile shopping continue to fuel demand. Opportunities for growth lie in omnichannel retailing, social and mobile commerce, and expanding into underserved regional markets supported by improving logistics and digital infrastructure.
The Philippines’ last-mile delivery market is expanding quickly as e-commerce grows. Valued at $1.5 billion in 2023, it’s expected to reach $3.2 billion by 2028. Better digital infrastructure and mobile payments are improving efficiency.
